Canada Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) System

Dear Families, Gormley Daycare Centre has received the funds to support families within the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care System (CWELCC).

Gormley Daycare Centre has worked very hard and closely with York Region to gather all the information needed for refunds and reduced childcare costs. We issued cheques for refunds that are retroactive from April 1st, 2022, to October 31st, 2022. Families who have paid full tuition fees received the refunds by cheque in October. There are many current families and ones that have already left Gormley Daycare Centre. They are eligible for the refunds if their child/ren attended GDC from April 1, 2022.

For families on Fee Subsidy, York Region is responsible for calculating the total refunds retroactively from April 1st, 2022, to August 31, 2022. York Region has confirmed.

Gormley Daycare Centre also calculated the difference in parent contribution for the period of September 1st, 2022, to October 31st, 2022, and included that into the cheque for refund. Altogether eligible families on fee assistance will be getting refunds retroactively to April 1st, 2022, to October 31st, 2022. Moving forward, full-paying tuition families will be responsible for paying their 75% portion of our Market Rate and York Region will cover the 25%.

Please kindly see below the new tuition amounts to be paid for the month of November and December:

With CWELCC discount:

– Toddler: $1060.32 (children 18 to 30 months)

– Preschool: $897.19

– Kindergarten: Before and After School: $587.25 

Families on Fee Assistance should have received their new parent contribution from York Region. If there are any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our office.
